On behalf of the EBSA Board of Directors and the Malta Billiards & Snooker Association, I have pleasure in inviting you to send players to take part in the 2005 European Snooker Ladies, Seniors and Men's Team Championships.

I enclose entry and participation forms (please copy as required) for a maximum entry of Two Ladies, Two Seniors and Three Men players from each Member Country, to be returned as instructed.

The Malta Billiards & Snooker Association has asked me to send you an invitation to take part, as well, in the 2005 MEDITERRANEAN SNOOKER CUP – see all details enclosed - and they assure you, that they will do everything to make your visit one to remember.

Calendar of events
Saturday 05th – Sunday 06th March (Mediterranean Snooker Cup) - see details enclosed
Sunday 06th March - European Team Champ. Opening Ceremony 20.30
Monday 07th – Saturday 12th March : Round Robin Matches and Final Stages
The Schedule will be decided depending of the number of entries.
In every match, each Player in a Team will play 2 Frames against all the Players
of the opponent Team.
Saturday 12th March – European Team Champ. Closing Ceremony 20.00

Entry Fee
Please note, an entry fee of €50, - (fifty euros) per player will be payable to the Malta Billiards & Snooker Association, before the start of the Team Championships and that no player will be allowed to take part if payment is not made.

There will be 14 match tables at the venue for the Mediterranean Snooker Cup, while there will be 12 match tables and 2 practice tables for the EBSA European Teams Championships and the IBSF World Billiards Championships.

All above prices are inclusive of breakfast.
All hotel bookings must be made direct with the Malta Billiards & Snooker Association.

FLIGHTS
The MBSA has made special arrangements with Air Malta and British Airways. All bookings and payments must be made through the MBSA.
British Airways are offering us a 10% reduction of the fares in all classes of travel except classes N, V, S & Q, plus applicable taxes. These fares are exclusively for people travelling to Malta for The Mediterranean Snooker Cup, The EBSA European Teams Snooker Championship, and the IBSF World Billiards Championships on confirmed BA Mainline operated flights and all the one world carriers if used in conjunction with a BA flight. On an itinerary involving BA or other one world carriers the longest journey must be on BA. All passengers are also advised to visit the BA website, www.ba.com, for information on how BA handles its booking data.
The Air Malta rates are on the attached Air Malta Flight Schedule. Please send all your flight enquiries without delay by email to spm@mbsa.org.mt, and copy to secretary@mbsa.org.mt.

TRANSPORT
The Maltese Association will arrange transport from and to Malta International Airport. Please send your flight details on the enclosed form for confirmation.

VISAS
Visas are not required by most European countries but please check.

FOOD
A good meal can be secured for 12 euros.

CURRENCY
All major credit cards are accepted in the hotel, restaurants and shops.

Usually beautiful weather ( 20-22 degrees Celsius)

On behalf of the Malta Billiards & Snooker Association, I invite you to send players for the MEDITERRANEAN SNOOKER CUP which will be held at the Dolmen Resort Hotel, Qawra, Malta on the 5th and 6th March 2005.

I enclose an entry and accommodation form (please copy as required). The tournament is open to the first 64 entries only and will be on first come first serve basis.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES IS THE 15TH   JANUARY 2005.

FORMAT for THE MEDITERRANEAN SNOOKER CUP

 

Maximum number of entries is 64 players.

16 groups of 4 players each playing on a round robin basis.

Group winners will qualify to the last 16 knock-out stage.

In 2004 the EBSA launched a new event - The European Team Cup, featuring events for Men, Seniors and Ladies. The inaugural event, which incorporates the former Continental Team Cup, was held in Riga, Latvia in March 2004.

Dear Members,

 

On behalf of the IBSF Board of Directors and the Malta Billiards & Snooker Association, I have pleasure in inviting you to send players to take part in the IBSF World Billiards Championships. The MB&SA will be organising two events, a time limit and a 150up event. The playing format will be depending on the number of entries.

Players have a choice to participate in one of the events or in both events.

 

I enclose an entry and participation form (please copy as required) for entries for both events. Please mark clearly if players wish to enter one or both events. These should be returned as instructed, with special attention being paid to the closing date. The secretary must receive entries not later than 15th January 2005. The event is open to professional and non-professional players.

 

An entry fee of € 40 per player per event must be paid direct to the Host Association on the first day of the championships.

 

The Australian Billiards & Snooker Council needs to have your hotel reservation the latest four (4) weeks before the tournament. The MB&SA has negotiated special air fares with Air Malta and British Airways. To take advantage please contact MB&SA before making any booking!
