WELCOME

May I, on behalf of all my Management Team and Staff here at Prestatyn Sands, wish you all a very warm welcome and

hope you have a very happy stay with us.

Here at Pontin's we pride ourselves on the fact that we will provide you with first class leisure facilities,

fun and entertainment to suit all members of the family.

So why not sit back, relax and enjoy, what I am sure, will be a holiday to remember

CLIFF SANDALL - General Manager

DEAR FRIENDS

May I take this opportunity of welcoming you to Pontin's Prestatyn Sands and the

34th Spring Open Snooker Festival.

We have added a new and exciting event to the programme this year

The CueFactor Open. Don't forget to see NEIL TOMKINS at the

CueFactor desk and he will reveal all.

There is a feast of snooker this week, with practically every age range catered for and I am certain that

you will enjoy every second.

A special thanks to Cliff Sandall and his team here at Prestatyn and of course to

John Williams, Haydn Parry and all of the officials, without whom none of this would be possible.

Finally, please respect the few rules that are in place: no food, drinks or mobile phones in the Snooker Centre,

no coaching from the sidelines and please remember we are now

SMOKE FREE IN WALES!

Enjoy your stay in Pontin's, your snooker and most importantly the friendship of those around you.

Good luck and play well.

Warm regards

ROLAND VAN LAERE - Director of Sports Development

COMPETITION RULES

1 Competitiors must have entered those competitions for which they are eligible between 4pm and 9pm on Friday
18th May 2007 at the Reception Desk in the Megastore which is situated in the Main Reception.

2 Entry into the Pontin’s Open is restricted to four persons from any one apartment.

3 All WSA Members who played on the Main Tour during the season just ended will give 18 points start in all frames
played in all competitions.

4 Competitors must be at the Control Desk at the World Snooker Centre and be ready to play, BEFORE the time allocated for their match. Failure to do so will mean that they are penalised one frame for the first fifteen minutes or part thereof that they are late and a further frame for each succeeding five minutes or part thereof that they are late.

5 Some matches will be played by consent, but Official Referees will be present to adjudicate on any problems which may arise during a match. In the event of any such problem or dispute, the decision of an Official Referee should be sought and once a decision has been given that decision is binding on both players. If a decision is not sought, the playing of the next stroke means that any prior occurrence is condoned.

6 A Dress Code will be applied and no competitor will be allowed to play a match unless their dress is considered by the Tournament Officials to be Smart Casual. Collarless Shirts or Trainers may not be worn and if any player is in doubt concerning their intended dress, they should consult a Tournament Official before reporting for their match.

7 The Miss Rule will not be applied in the Under 16’s competition.

8 The times given in the sequence of events may be altered subject to the number of competitors in each competition
and it is the Responsibility of Each Competitor to check their match times.

9 The various draws will be displayed as soon as possible after they are made and all matches will be timed.
