Biography

Donovan has followed in the footsteps of Welsh junior stars such as Ian Preece, David John and Ryan Day, enjoying huge success at junior level, both in Wales and internationally.

In 2001 he reached the final of the European Under 19 championship in Germany and has gone from strength to strength since.

He was the 2002 Welsh under 18 champion and topped the junior rankings. His success earned him a place in the WSA Junior Play offs in May 2002, where he exceeded all expectations by winning through to earn himself a main tour ticket for 2002-3.

Donovan is a member of Elite Cymru, a scheme for the best sporting performers in Wales.

He rounded off his junior career in July 2002 by helping the Welsh Junior teams to victory in the 110sport Junior Nations Cup.
