Biography

Lasse took up snooker when he was eleven, and although he made his international debut in the 1994 IBSF World championship, his big break through didn't come until 2000, when he qualified from the Eurotour to play on the WSA main professional tour.

It was a valuable experience for the Germany player, who although winning only one match, treasures the opportunity he had. He celebrated his win by going out shopping to buy himself a new game for his Play Station!

As well as snooker Lasse plays table-tennis and enjoys athletics, he plays the trumpet and the drums, and is an avid surfer of the internet.

Since his debut in 1994 Lasse has represented Germany in all the major international events: the European Under 19 and European Championship, the IBSF Under 21 and World Championship, the Continental Team Cup and just some of the countries he's visited on his snooker travels include the United Kingdom, South Africa, Jersey, Finland, Malta, Gibraltar, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark and Holland.

In 2004 Lasse will join his team mates Sasche Lippe and Patrick Einsle on a six month training trip to Wales, where they will practice and receive coaching at the Terry Griffiths Matchroom, under the expert eye of former World Champion Terry Griffiths.
