Biography: Having been introduced to snooker by her brother Alan when she was 17, June burst on the World Ladies scene with immediate impact. June made her debut in the 1987 World Championship, reaching the quarter finals at her first attempt. Since then she has made steady progress up the Rankings. She again reached the quarters in 1995 World Championship, earning herself a trip to India.

June moved to Llanelli several years ago to improve her snooker under the watchful eye of Coach Terry Griffiths. She works in the Terry Griffiths Matchroom and competes in the Llanelli & District Snooker League. In 1996 her team won the knock out trophy and last year were runners up in the League's Top Division.

June also competed in the prestigious Buckley Best Bitter Snooker Challenge and created quite a stir, knocking in her highest competitive break of 119 against Caerphilly's Alan Watkins. June also holds the high break record for a lady in the Llanelli League, 89. She benefits from regular practice against UK Tour competitor Gavin Pantall, newly promoted Main Tour player Philip Williams and fellow Lady player Jenny Poulter.

Away from Snooker, June keeps fit with regular Gym Work. She also enjoys music and cinema
