Pontin's world class snooker centre is gearing up to host a new series aimed at  the  world's up and coming new stars.

A major sponsor of snooker events for more than 30 years, Pontin's now lead the world with their new purpose built snooker facility and innovative events.

The Pontin's Under 21 series, open to all players under the age of 21, starts in September and promises to become a high-profile event in the snooker calendar.

Players of the calibre of the youngest Pontins Open Champion fourteen year old Judd Trump will feature, alongside up and coming international stars such as Kobkit Palajin, runner up in the recent IBSF World Under 21 Championship.

Main tour professionals such as Ding Jun Hui and Gary Wilson are also eligible, although there will be a handicapping system put in place to encourage both the professionals and aspiring juniors to compete alongside each other.

Pontin's are underwriting a guaranteed £1500 prize fund on each event, subject to entries.

But hurry - registration must be completed by the end of August 2004 in time for the first event which will run alongside the Pontins Autumn Festival from 18th September 2004.

And of course there's much more @ Pontin's during the snooker season. The first Main Tour professional qualifiers start on 8 September.  The keen fought Home Internationals and International Challenge run from 11-17 September. The new Under 21 series and the Autumn Pro-Am festival from 17-23 September and the first Challenge Tour event starts on 24 September.
