At the beginning of November 2004 the official representative of European Billiard and Snooker Association, Mr. Maxime Cassis, came to Ekaterinburg city on an official visit.

The meeting resulted in the signing of the official agreement between Sport Billiard League and the European Billiard and Snooker Association that the European Snooker Championship Under 19 will be held in our city.

It was decided that the venue will be the billiard club "Evropa". The championship will be played on 10 tables, and two tables will be provided for training purposes. The venue is also equipped with stands for spectators.

The referee team from Russia will consist of four referees, who will undertake EBSRA examinations prior to the event. This is a very significant event which importance is equal to the championship itself, because currently we don't have the referees of international standing.

During the visit there was also a very important meeting of Mr. Cassis with the Deputy Minister of Sport Mr. Korotkikh V.F. who has confirmed the support of regional authorities of the upcoming event.
