Snooker in Europe is on the up and up and
Austria is one of the keenest nations, and not just in snooker.
Austria also has an enthusiastic following for 'English' Billiards
Austrian players compete in all major international competitions,
including the European Team Cup, European Championships, and World
Snooker and Billiards Championships.
As well as
their own series of ranking events, doubles, billiards and
championships, Austria also host several major pro-ams, which
players from far and wide participate in.
Austria has been given the honour of hosting the
2004 European
Championships for Men, Seniors and Ladies.
