Global Snooker Countries - Australia
Australia has a snooker and billiards pedigree richer and longer
than almost any other country. Over the years legendary figures
such as Walter Lindrum, Bob Marshall and Eddie Charlton have emerged,
and today's current billiards and snooker stars include the former
world professional billiards champion Robby Foldvari, Matthew Bolton,
Neil Robertson and the enigmatic snooker star Quinten Hann.
The current amateur scene in Aus is flourishing with
a regular circuit of snooker and billiards events for both the men
and the women. Australia boasts several websites serving national
and regional interests, as well as a rapidly increasing number of
player's and enthusiast's pages.

GSC is very grateful for all the information we've
received from Australian correspondents. As usual we'd be pleased
to hear from anyone who can fill in any gaps, or who spots an error.
Check out the GSC Billiards page soon for all the
Aussie Billiards records and watch out on the Ladies pages for news
of Aussie women's events.
Many thanks to everyone from Aus who has contributed
information and pics about snooker and billiards down under. Credits: Dave Jackson, Martin Deeley,
